Lime Putty 23kg tub

High calcium, fresh quicklime is slaked under controlled conditions of heat and stirring. It absorbs water to form lime putty, also known as non-hydraulic lime as it does not set under water. The longer this lime putty is kept the better it becomes, as water absorption is improved. This gives a fatter structure, allowing the lime putty to spread more closely around the sand grains when mixed in a mortar, improving bonding between mortar and masonry.
